AI & Marketing Operations Leader
Peer Feedback
Amy Bosley, Head of Brand & Creative
“Jon is an absolute powerhouse in the HubSpot and MarOps space, but what truly sets him apart is his genuine kindness, a quality that is invaluable in today’s corporate world. He leads with heart, something I find super inspiring.”
I lead an AI-first marketing operations function - training >80 people in AI tools and workflows, shipping production-grade applications, and growing a specialist team from one to five.ReLoad, a tool I built using Cursor and Azure, cut a two-week post-event data process down to seven minutes and is actively used by sales and marketing teams today. What I'm most proud of isn't the tools though - it's the culture. My team's annual staff survey came in significantly above benchmark for both Team Autonomy and Management Support, and that matters more to me than most metrics.
Committed to continuous development as a leader, I have taken deliberate steps to deepen my understanding of evidence-based management practice - studying the research on 1:1s, feedback, and people development, and applying those principles directly with my team. That process led me to design and build Polaris, an AI-powered management workspace that helps middle managers stay close to their direct reports throughout the year.Building Polaris has combined my technical curiosity with a genuine belief that better-prepared managers create better outcomes for the people they lead.
In 2023 I co-founded Community Kitchen Glos, serving as a trustee in its first year and volunteering as head chef. What began as a simple idea - good food, no fuss, for people who needed it - grew into something that became a genuine part of the local community.Using my platform at @DinnerWithJon, I raised thousands of pounds from my online supporters to help get it off the ground, turning a following built around a love of food into something with real-world impact. The trustee role taught me a different kind of leadership - fundraising, governance, and showing up every week with a ladle rather than a laptop. It's the project I'm most proud of that has nothing to do with a screen.

What started as a love of cooking for other people has grown into a food community of over half a million followers across social media, centred around comfort food that actually gets made.Being selected for the BBC Creator Lab was a highlight - as was publishing Cravings & Comforts in 2025, a cookbook that captures the kind of food I've always believed in: unfussy, generous, and built for real people.Brand partnerships with HelloFresh and Sainsbury's, personalised videos through Cameo, and a soup kitchen I founded in Gloucestershire all come from the same place - a genuine belief that food is one of the best ways to bring people together.
Most wellness apps are built for Sunday mornings. Mellow is built for Monday at 8:50am.I spent a long time researching why professionals struggle to recover mid-day - between the meetings, the difficult conversations, the context-switching that leaves you flat by 3pm. The answer wasn't more content or longer sessions. It was shorter, sharper interventions matched to the specific pressure points of a working day.Mellow is a performance reset tool for people in demanding roles. Evidence-backed focus and recovery protocols - physiological sigh before a difficult call, box breathing before a high-stakes presentation - designed to fit inside the gaps that already exist in your day.All your data stays on your phone. No advertising profiles, no third-party pipelines. That was a deliberate architectural choice, not an afterthought.Built independently alongside a full-time role in marketing operations.
